The rule of thumb is: whoever asks (the other out on the date) should pay. So if he likes you, and asked you out on another date, he ought to treat you - it's not a "tit for tat" exchange, that he buys dinner and in returns receives sex or the promise of more dates. So it's okay to let him treat you while you're interested in him... if you discover you really don't like him and are just going for the free meal, that's when you should start paying for yourself.
Most guys I know expect to pay, and if the girl insists on going Dutch, they take it as a sign that she doesn't like him or wants to be "just friends." What you can do, to show that are trying to keep things fair, is offer to pay for some small portion of the date - ie, he buys the movie tickets and you buy the popcorn. Guys generally appreciate this.
I usually give it three dates before deciding my feelings for a guy. If he's a total nutcase, he gets dropped immediately, but for most nice normal guys, I give them three dates to see how my feelings/attraction towards them develops. So let him pay, but offer to chip in for a few things - if he insists on paying or declines your offer, then you'll know he's okay with treating and you don't need to offer every time.

When the bill comes, just ask him if you can cover it this time. If he says no, it's not a big deal, maybe you can get the tip or something. If he really wants to pay for it all, just let him, I think for some guys it makes them feel good, like they are treating the lady right.

Girl don't worry about it. The guy is the one that pays for dates. Unless you've been going out for awhile and then it seems to be 50/50 or whoever has cash in their wallet at the time. He is not going to think you used him. If it doesn't work out it just doesn't work.

Lets say you two go to a movie then go out to eat. Let him pay for the movie, and then when you go eat , when the ticket comes just say "I got it" and take the reciept and pay. Dont make it clear at the begining of the date that youre paying because thats corny.

Offer to pay by just telling him the truth and offer to pay for both, or go dutch. Tell him that he shouldn't have to pay for everything and make it clear how you feel. But free stuff is always great too.

this sucks, sorry. if he paid you dinner it doesn't mean you have to sleep with him. but some men just don't understand this, they think everything is assured since they took you out. well,it's not, it's just a getting to know each other date.
since you are so impressed maybe it will work out for you two and stop worring, just say, I pay half tonight.

When the check comes offer to pay. If he insists, then tell him you wold really like to pay. If he still insists, let him pay. If he is a gentleman he will insist on paying.
