This jackass at the local store keeps saying "I (he) need some R & R". What the hell does that mean. I just laugh, but i wont laugh next time I will say get stuffed

It is a military term for time off from the base. It means Rest and Relaxation. Vacation time or time off in layman's terms.

While rest and relaxation is the traditional meaning, I believe among some of the (Non-UK) military, it refers to Rape and Robbery.

Its used in the forces when they have a break in between their tour. Rest and recuperation, my husband is on it now.
