you are talking about per month right? Most any car will fit that range. You could probably go into the upper $60k with that range.

the only way you're going to find a car for that price is if you're very lucky finding a independent seller. No car dealership has anything for that price unless it doesn't run. But I assume you want a car to run! I would start looking in the paper classifieds at least every Sunday. You can also try www.craigslist.com It has ads from people from certain cities. I don't know if your city will be on there but it's worth a shot. Good Luck! But you might want to save a little more. $1,000 makes a huge difference. You don't want to spend all your money you have a POS that will break down a week later.

Check your local paper, try the trader magazines, or you could put a ad in the paper asking for a car someone willing to sell between your price range.

Network, tell your friends and family what you are trying to do. Someone might know someone. Be careful with newspaper ads for stuff in that price range though, most of it is going to be junk for that price.

pennysaver or newspaper, also network with your friends and family. I got my 1st car, a 1984 honda accord for $400.00 and it ran great never had any problems in the 3 years i had it.
