I am trying to restore factory settings for win xp on my hi-grade pc it says press f10 to start recovery when booting up i have tried this and nothing happens.

You have to be really quick....when that flashes up you must hit the key immediately....I just recovered mine. I had my finger on the button before the screen changed.

Have you tried xp recovery from your control panel? Do you still have any discs which came with the PC when it was purchased? I see you have already tried factory restore. If you can go on line okay, you could try the website at Microsoft [if you're using their windows] and try and download a cure there.

On the tools menu, click internet options. 2. click the programs tab. 3.click the reset web settings button.

If your keyboard is connect via USB port, u should enable that setting in BIOS. Enter BIOS and go to advanced settings, you should find it and enable it. Otherwise I don't know what is the problem.
