Sorry but thats not my question I just put that title because more people seem to answer the question and i wanted alot of adivce. So here's my real question: I have a boyfriend who I love to death and before we started going together I been loved him just a lil so before we hang up i tell him i love him and he say it back then one day i asked him to be honest and dont tell me he loved me adleast he really meant it. Then 2 months pasted and he and he told me he loved me. But do u think i should believe that? And our relationship goes like Paula DeAnda song doing to much. because i sit right there by the phone waiting on him to call just to hear his voice tone. and sometimes i wonder if he was even feeling me. Well if u no the whole song its true and plus my bestfriends telling me that im doing to much!!(mature only)

okay, you sound like some of the 12-13 year olds i work with...they are so hung up on a boy that is all they think about. That's not love...that's infatuation. Love doesn't paralyze you, it MOTIVATES you and only an adult knows the difference (which is the best age for sex btw). But to answer your question...

It depends on your standards and your integrity. Your standards may be like some of my friends who will not tell anyone they love them unless they mean it...they say it their mom, dad, relatives, etc. and to some of their close friends on the phone...but to a date, they'd have to be past the 'dating' phase and into the exclusive phase...somewhere between dating and engagement for some, and only engagement for others...THAT is what i mean by standards...and those are pretty high.

By integrity i mean not saying anything you do not mean by definition = "love" which I place a different definition on that a lot of teenagers out there. "Love" meansdesiring the person's best for them (and knowing what that is, which is another adult trademark). If you can tell a guy you love him (deeply) after a few dates and have told 20 guys that, then your integrity is low... do you really mean it? Now, on the other hand....if you can tell people you love them easily on a lower standard, then that may be okay.

My desire for young people is to help them live life closer to what it is and not what they dream it should be but never will be! Nothing wrong with dreaming about what could be (that's good) but what won't be (that's fantasy and un-realistic!) I have found this saves a lot of hurt in the long run and hard lessons learned...but sometimes that is what it takes for people to learn...HARD MISTAKES...

Well, i hope you don't have to learn from too hard of mistakes...and i hope you find true love...just make it a mature lasting love...and i hope you find that for yourself too...

peace.

You have to at least be old enough to know what love is without having to ask someone else's opinion with absolutley no details given about your relationship. During immaturity, the word love is used way out of context. People just think that's what they're supposed to say when you have a guy/gal that you like and want to be with. I wouldn't wait by the phone for any wannabe to call me. If he really wanted me, I'd know he was going to call but I don't think I'd gear my time around whether the phone rings or not. You are in the learning stage right now. Sit back and take notes. You'll learn all you need to know about guys if you just keep your eyes and ears open. Don't be something you're not by trying to impress someone. Be yourself and they will like you for who and what you really are.

its funny how relationships work....one person maybe doing to much and the other doesn't. then it comes to a point where the person that is doing to much may just get tired of it, the person receiving all the attetion may notice the difference, and start wondering why or whats going on. i suggest u stop doing all the work and let him put some effort into it.

best thing to do...talk to him. not over the phone or IM or texting...talk to him. thats you best bet. I would only give as much as he is going to give back not more not less than your relationship will be balanced (in theory) but that i find is the best logic.

good luck
