Vehicle “shakes” can be related to unbalanced tires; worn tires can cause tires/wheels to become unbalanced. When does it shake, at highway speeds? Most likely you need new tires and or a balancing service performed.

on its own , a bald - balanced tire will not cause shaking or vibration , but it is unsafe. any tire bald or otherwise that is unbalanced will cause a vibration

It could if it's out of balance. If the tire is worn, there may be other worn parts like tie rod ends also shot.
