my fiance' was recently sentenced to six months in prison. his mother moved here to Minnesota from Alaska and was only here for a week and started asking me for money. i have been telling her that i do not have any extra money to give to her, so she told my fiance', her son that i am going to break up with him while he is prison. i have no intensions of doing this to him because i love him and his mother is causing these problems. so why do in-laws like to start trouble?

It's the classic "I don't want to see anyone be happier than I am" thinking. His mother doesn't want you or he to be happy together. She also sounds like a lot of trouble. Asking for loans is not a good way to start out a relationship....

Also if your b/f is in jail , I know you love him, and it's none of my business but if he is in jail for doing something violent and terrible please do yourself a favor and consider this before taking him back when he gets out. Just think about it...If it's for something minor like a suspended license or some dumb stuff like that, then forget I said anything.

Good luck.

I would normally say that they start trouble cuz they are just testing you to see if you are good enough for their son. But after what i just read she sounds like a crazy person trying to ruin something that she never really had with her husband or she afraid that she mite lose her son to you. Sorry

This woman sounds like a childish taker. Make sure your fiance knows what's going on before she has a chance to get to him. His mother is just trying to blackmail you. Good luck.

This should be a sign to you that when it comes to this woman and her son, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
