I homeschool. I love it. I get to do SO much more stuff. If you can find a good homeschool group, which i ahve its awesome! Like, we still have football, basketball, all the sports, homecoming, dances, prom, socials, yearbook, drama, classes...ect. but i dont have to go to "school" everyday. I can just do the schoolwork that i need to do, then when it's done, i can do watever i want, like go work out, or go hang out with friends, babysit, work, eat, shopping, play tennis...watever! its rele great freedom. but stay social, thats the reason why i love it. i'm as social as a homeschooler as i was in public school and private school. (ive done all 3) but definitely take classes. if u dont ull hate it cuz ull be at home ALL day everyday. but keep ur friends from school. and since u a sophmore, ur probly able to drive, which means u can have a day job, and pretty much have lots of freedom! so i think if ur able to do all that, u could enjoy it, especially if you keep all ur friends from school. I have, and its been great so far! im a sophmore, and really loving it! another thing tho, if u do homeschool, dont like stop trying in school, because thats easy. Im actually doing better homeschooling, and already have college scholarships waiting for me. (ive been able to focus on what i need to do good on college entrance stuff) anyways, watever happens, i hope you enjoy it either way!

I was homeschooled by my own will for my junior year of high school. It's not so bad. Just make sure that you put time aside to focus on your studies every day. The cool thing about it is, since you'll be learning at your own speed you may finish your work in 3 hours and then have plenty of time to do whatever else you like. I used it as an opportunity to explore other interests such as art and music. I was determined to take some college classes early and you can do that through your local community college very easily. Registration fees are actually waived if you are still in high school or younger. If you want to graduate early, there is probably a test you can take in your state which is not difficult at all. In California it is the "California High School Proficiency Exam". It is a test of basic high school skills. If you pass it you recieve a high school diploma from the state. The only thing is it ranks you in the 50th percentile of your class. That doesn't really matter if you started taking some college classes because then any university you apply to will only be concerned (and impressed) with the college courses on your record. I did all of the above and am now applying to grad school. If you know what you want to do and focus on getting through school the possibilities are endless.

I did the same thing. I finished in one year, instead of two. Just make sure to set aside a little bit of time every day to school (it doesn't have to be very long). Find a group in your community (or near your community) that allows you to do extracurriculars, prom, etc. I actually enjoyed homeschooling much more (maybe because I finished so much earlier). If you have any questions about the curriculum you should use or about my experience homeschooling, email me at thawk5il@yahoo.com. I'd be glad to talk to you.

I was homeschooled for a few years, but I went to highschool. It's really not that bad, less time consuming, you do your work and your done after a few hours. But then you miss all the school activities like homecoming and proms. I think unless you really want to be homeschooled talk to them and see if you can stay in school. Also it get's boring when all your friends are in school and your not...it has it's up's and down's

My best friend is homeschooled in turkey, she loves it!
Get in touch with your friends, and get busy...go out as much as you can...always look at the bright side, there will never be a shooting at your house :)

Why home school? I mean you can go to school and be home schooled at the same time. Learning in a school with other students
makes it easier to learn.

No no no !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to spend the rest of your schooling with your friends you have made over the years. You will miss out socially on so many things if he pulls you out of school now. I think homeschooling isn't right at all anyway. But to pull you out of school now would be a sin !!!!!!!!!!!! These are the best years of your life. To have them taken away would be a mistake and you can never get these years back. Good luck Hon. Hope Dad doesn't rob you of precious memories that we all carry with us through life.
