Last year my best friend's husband had a bad cough. The doctor diagnosed bronchitis. After several courses of anti-biotics he still felt bad.
He went to another doctor that diagnosed mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer. He passed away Dec. 26, 2006. If you think you've been misdiagnosed, seek another opinion!

Yes, indeed. Me. I was diagnosed with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, yada, yada enough diagnosis for 12 people. I was completely crippled and on many medications. I discovered, on my own, that I was allergic to wheat, soy, eggs, dairy and peanuts. I gave them up, and ALL of my symptoms went away. I have cheated on my diet only 6 times in 3 years, and all 6 times the symptoms came back with a vengance. Doctors are clueless for the most part. They can wrap their brains around the diet issue for diabetics, but not other illnesses.

My mother had stomach cancer for 6 years and went from 125 to 311 in that time the "Dr" prescribed every manner of weight control but never looked for the cause. It took her getting breast cancer to find the true cause and then it was too late she died 3 years later.
If you think your Dr is wrong see another Dr - if my mother had she might still be alive.

It happens all the time. The doctor is only human. My son was diagnosed as deaf when he's autistic. I was diagnosed with gout when it was just a foot injury.
What's your diagnosis?

Yep. One doctor told my mom she had a bladder infection and that was why she felt so bad. Another doctor told her she had pneumonia (which was then cured). If that's not a misdiagnosis, I don't know what is. See another doctor and get another opinion.
