Whenever I try to smile my teeth don't show,no matter how big i smile my teeth don't show at all,when i feel my top gum there is that ridge and it seems kinda low..PLEASE HELP why is my mouth like that?? I have never REALLY smiled and it sucks not to be able to....if you need more info just ask...any answers are welcome....THANKS

Genetics.
It can be a blessing or a curse. Depending on ones interpetation about it.
Good news. This is the 21st. century, surgery if really wanting to go that route may be able to correct your problem.

My boyfriend suffers from the same affliction. Sorry, though, I have no idea why. How come there are some people that you wish would not smile because when they do not only do you see their teeth but every inch of there gums as well...yuch!

under or over bite. also could be you have little teeth and big lips or big gums

u need ortho. otherwise, just practice in a mirror opening your lips better. practice lots in the mirror, that always helps

mqybe you have big gums... you can fix that with porcelain veneers
