Argentina - Buenos AIres, Calafayette and Puerto Merino Glacier.

Chile - Puerto Montt & Castro, go hiking in Torres del Paine, Easter Island (if you can afford it), take a cruise to San Rafael Glacier (from Puerto Montt), spend time in the 'Lake District'.

Peru - Lima, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, Cuzco, Machu Picchu, go sand boarding at Ica, fly over the Nazca Lines.

Ecuador - Galapagos Islands (if you can - suggest you pop in to Safari Travel in Quito and ask - it's MUCH cheaper to book in Quito and Safari have access to info on ALL the boats), Cuenca, Otavalo for the market, Banos, Riobamba, the hot springs at Papallacta and take the train from Alauso to Bucay (tourists sit on the roof of the train).

Note that 2 months is quite tight so plan well and factor in delays and wantign to spend longer in some places. I spent 3 weeks in each of Peru, Chile and Ecuador and barely scratched the surface.

I Think that you must buy a lonely planet south america so you can arrange better your trip, as Strudgger said, 2 months is almost nothing, I agree with him with the places you must see.

perhaps u might want to wish to flow to yahoo holiday. identity make santiago chile my headquarters besides the undeniable fact that. from there identity e book a airplane to lima peru, then to arequipa and then by using land to cuzco and machupichu. those are peruvian places that would want to wish to be chance-loose as its full of travelers. then identity come back to santiago and e book a flight to everywhere in brazil, argentina or colombia. i actually grew to grow to be off a weekend in rio and sao paulo cuz its to darn risky. the south you would possibly want to flow (rio grande do sul, porto alegre...). in argentina human beings are so screwed that they kidnap human beings, yet buenos aires is exciting and the chicks are warmth. colombia, i might want to on no account flow to that position, full of guerrilla and drug traffickers. patagonia... from santiago too. truly correct position is ushuaia, it truly is an argentinian city. identity make santiago my headquarters cuz its the significant guard position in latin u . s .... they call chile the switzerland of south u . s .. wish this allows!
