From my days as a trial attorney "sir" and "your honor", if you are not used to it you will feel awkward but the judge is used to it.

You can refer to them as either "honor" or just "judge"...both are ok.

Generally we called them "your Honor" but a few of them would probably prefer "Your Eminence, or Your Holiness."
