is it true that if you trim your hair every three months to eliminate the split ends, that your hair will grow faster?

My hair dresser said that to me; but I beg to differ!

Two years ago, my hair was three inches long and in spikes, today, it's past my waist and I NEVER trimmed it.

The only way for speedy hair growth is what your diet consists of.
If you're eating healthy; drinking PLENTY OF WATER, taking vitamins and just getting proper nutrition, your hair should grow faster.
Otherwise, unfortunately, what your intake is affects your entire body and especially hair and nail growth-- which particular vitamin(s) promotes hair growth I cannot recall, but try not to be a fanatic about it!

Remember, too much of a good thing is BAD!

no its not true no amount of cutting can make it grow faster.

The benefit is that it keeps your ends healthy so when you go in for a trim it wont turn into having to cut off 3 inches because your hair is so dead.

Taking vitamins containing biotin is the only thing that you can do to help but the results are different for everyone so dont expect a miracle. your diet also plays a big role in how fast hair grows.

most hair-sprays and creams have certain hair nutrients to make your hair grow faster. also if u trim your hair regularly it gives it a nice shape when growing, depending on how you trim it.
the protein in the diet can help a little.
