1st - Go to take a queue at the Malaysia High Commissioner at this address (301 Jervois Road, Singapore 249077) outside the guard post about 0700hrs (do remember to bring ur umbrella along due to no shelter if it's rain)

Make sure you brought along ur 2 pcs passport size photoes (3.5cm X 5cm) with blue back ground. (Polarite Instant Photo not allowed)

2nd - Queue & filled up the form IM.42 Form & the duty guard will be happy to glue ur photo for you & retained the form. You will be given a number stated u to come back the next five days. (Because they only serves 300 queue numbers for application of passport matters a day)

3rd - On the 5th day, be sure you come earlier 30 minutes & reported to the guard post again. Surrender ur driving license or bus card to exchange for security pass to enter the registration hall.(They don't want ur I.C. card cause u'll need it later at the registration hall)

4th - Queue at the registration hall, the form u submited 5 days ago is already process by them. They'll give you another 'Q' number & the form with photoes on it for payment & thumb scan purposes.

5th - while awaiting for number to be call, u'll need to prepared photo copies of M'sia I.C., Singapore P.R. I.C. if u are P.R. status & proof of residential if u stay in Singapore. They need to see ur original both I.C. too.

6th - Once it's ur turn, give them the required papers & u'll be ask to scan ur thumbs followed by payment at next counter. They will clips all docs. together & return back to u.

7th - At the next counter, make ur payment in SGD cash 130 for 32 pages, they'll issued a receipt. They'll ask u to surrender ur passport & the docs. this time.

Finally - Ur receipt stated to collect the new passport the next 5 days in the afternoon between 1415hrs - 1600hrs.

That mean overall u'll need to go there 3 times. And if u r on office hour working, ur annual leave or off days is burnt. I think they miss their citizen working or studying abroad & tat's why u must see them 3 times.... That's the only positive remarks I could come out with.

Other than that, the customer service is improving much better than 5 years ago whereby I need to queue since 0530hrs in the morning & had my panda eye snap shot for passport photoes.

You need not go to Malaysia for your passport. The Malaysian embassy in the US must solve your problem in the issuance of your passport because it is part of their mandate.
