In Ireland it is said that a Guiness provides all essential nutrients and vitamins. Eat a burger with it and you've got your protein.

The guy that said ancient cultures drank it was on the right track.Water is one of the main components of beer.Unfortunately most water was contaminated in older cultures before the advent of sanitation plants.When you brew beer, the pasteurization process makes it fit to consume without getting sick.Unless you drink mass quantities.There is protein in beer.I would suggest you eat something to counter the effects of the alcohol, unless you're just being a smart-***.In that case:DRINK UP.

The moderate consumption of alcohol, including beer, is associated with better health and greater longevity than is either abstaining or drinking heavily.Beer, like wine, is hormetic.

Brewer's yeast is known to be a rich source of nutrients; therefore, as expected, beer can contain significant amounts of nutrients, including magnesium, selenium, potassium, phosphorus, biotin, and B vitamins. In fact, beer is sometimes referred to as "liquid bread". Some sources maintain that filtered beer loses much of its nutrition.

A 2005 Japanese study found that low alcohol beer may possess strong anti-cancer properties. Another study found nonalcoholic beer to mirror the cardiovascular benefits associated with moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages. However, much research suggests that the primary health benefit from alcoholic beverages comes from the alcohol they contain.

It is considered that over-eating and lack of muscle tone is the main cause of a beer belly, rather than beer consumption. A recent study, however, found a link between binge drinking and a beer belly. But with most overconsumption it is more a problem of improper exercise and overconsumption of carbohydrates than the product itself.

There is evidence that very heavy and prolonged consumption of alcohol may lead to liver damage and also leave the organ vulnerable to cancer cells. Beer consumption is associated with gout.

Beer contains a lot of calories, which are more or less not very useful to you as a food.
Budweiser for eg. contains
5% Alcohol
14.5 Calories.
11 grams of carbs.
Multiply those numbers by the amount you drink and the calories quickly build up, as does your beer belly, which the girls really hate.
You may indeed feel better after drinking it, but its no substitute for good tucker.

Both protein and carbs!

The only real difference between bread and beer (both grain, sugar, yeast, flavorings) is that bread is baked. Real beer (not the watered down crap you've been drinking) was actually a staple food in some ancient cultures.

there are a lot of good things in beer, if it wasnt for the alcohol (and its addictiveness) sientist would reccomend one beer a day.

(i do to :D)

oh and beer can cure cancer, only problem is you would have to drink 60 beer a day for about two weeks, and your liver cannot survife it.

so they answer is deffinitly yes!
