Folks....get a clue. The article/publication is a joke. (Not that you need to look at it....for one thing, check out the asker's "name".)

Which brings me to: doesn't this belong in the jokes and riddles section?

I would definitely talk to my daughter and make sure she even knows what sex is before putting her on pills. No, I would definitely not put a preteen on the pill. That is absurd. Anyway, a preteen shouldn't even be allowed to have a boyfriend, much less be allowed to date (which is when most of the sexual contact happens). Besides that, I would be afraid that the pills would do something to her in the long run, maybe make her not be able to have kids, or cause an illness or something. If a doctor recommends it because of menstrual problems or something, then I would reconsider, but putting a preteen on the pill so she won't get pregnant? Please! Give her a bed time, and don't let her go anywhere unsupervised. She's not even in high school for God's sake.

My personal opinon is this if I had a daughter... If my daughter was haveing a lot of problems with her cycle then I would seriously look into it. But if it was just for the what if then I wouldnt be so sure. I would find out if she is haveing a lot of problems with her cycle first, then I would talk to the family doctor to see what there advise is on the subject.

i would be tempted only due to the fact that my step-daughter lives with her mom who is reputed for having drug dealer boyfriends and hangs out with all of her druggie friends all the time. they have strangers coming in and out of their house all the time and we are really scared for her.if (heaven forbid) something awful should happen at least she wouldn't have to deal with a baby too. we have tried to get custody, but even though her mother repeatedly fails drug tests and commits purgery (and gets caught) we can't seem to get a judge to let her dad have custody.

I just hope and pray that I have taught my daughter right from wrong and that she will have strong morals not to have sex!!! No I am not stupid I know teens will have sex when they want ( I did) but my daughter is not dating as a pre-teen!!! parents give their kids too much freedom.

I think so, it depends if I think there having sex. But I think it can prevent from a mistake happening, especially when preteens are so young to know what having a baby really is!

ugh... At that age, I really just would want my kid to understand what sex actually is.

But why not get a more reliable source like the ONION.
