There are every kind of Pug crosses known to man kind out there. Most in Shelters and Pug Breed rescues. Any Pug mixed with a non Brachycephalic (pushed in face) dog is possibly a better mix for health reasons. Though not all Pug mixtures with these types are health risk free, depends on which set of genes the puppy got. Check your papers for Pug mixes the only problem with papers is that these breeders ask for hundreds of dollars for these mutts and call them designer dogs. Really call around the area shelters, ask for Pug Rescues phone numbers if that particular shelter doesnt have a pug mix for adoption. The pug rescues will often take in Pug mixtures as well as purbreds.

puggle's are great but they can be just as expensive as pugs, i have also seen really pretty pomeranian pug mixes but if your not worried about the price you can find pugs that don't have hat bad of a nose, not all pugs are fat like that, i have a pug and he is absolutely great, he hasn't had any breathing problems at all, and he's not overly fat like most pugs, he ways 18 lbs which is the perfect weight for a pug, his nose is about a half inch to an inch of his face but he still looks like a pug and he's registered and all, so they can be found it's just a point in knowing where to look.

You know, if you want specific qualities in a dog, you susually have to stick with a breed/breeder, resuce dogs often come from homes which are wonderful or questionable.
Everybody is obsessed with the puggles and the jug (jack russell/pug breed) but I honestly think the pug is a very sweet dog and that we will see an slowing in the purchases of designer dogs.

I'm wondering why everyone is so obsessed with mixed breeds (puggles, malti-poos etc), they are MUTTS! Anyone that would actually pay 500+ for a mixed breed is insane. Mixed breeds tend to have more problems than purebreds because you are complicating things by adding another breed. People that intentionally breed 2 different breeds are nuts, they are doing nothing but destroying both breeds!

It's best to check with your local animal shelters or Animal Control facilities. A good combination can be countless.
