2.5 months is when you should begin to see results. Fat doesn't just melt away, it's the hardest thing ti get rid of. I gained 50lbs when I had my baby-now almost a year later I am still working on loosing fat. I workout 4x a week, run n3x and I still don;t have the results i am wanting after 11 months :(. But keep on keeping on and you won;t be dissappointed.

Possibilities:

Rest: you're simply not getting enough sleep

Exercise: you're not performing at hight enough a rate to actually see any benefits from said exercise

Diet: you're eating too much/too little to compensate for your new exercise routine and the weight that you did lose is simply muscle

If you are thinner, then you are losing the fat. But you are also exercising & thereby gaining muscle. If you are referring to why your weight is not going down on the scales, it is because you are building muscle which is dense and "weighs" more than fat.

that is the problem that people dont seem to understand. if you starve and do just cardio, u loose muscle mass and u are thinner but you have fat on ur body. its not about the number on the scale but about what constituents you are loosing. to loose fat rather than muscle, u need to add weight lifting to ur regimen. and rather than running, jogging etc, i recommend walking on incline on treadmill and recumbent bike.
