melt 2 tbs butter add 2tbs flour cook til smooth but not brown add 2 c milk heat on low til thick. Voila ! True white cream sauce. you can add a bay leaf, white pepper, salt, nutmeg to taste while cooking. To make a cheese sauce add shredded cheddar, swiss, or whatever you fancy.
Excellent over veggies and fish.

Any vegetable boil until soft, then put it in the blender with a can of carnation milk and Yahoo!!! add salt to taste...
