He hasn't necessarily gone mad, but maybe he's just not into that way guys' jeans fit? He may have been joking around with his friends or he may be into the look. The town where I live, a lot of guys wear twelve-year-old girls jeans because they think it's cool. I guess some rockstar wears clothes like that or something. I personally think it looks ridiculous, but to each their own, I guess.
