The only thing worse than that would be pay for view.

I think they need to do the whole split screen thing that they do for IRL. Show the race, just in case there are some developments on one side...and then the commercials on the other side. That way we fans are happy and don't miss anything important, and the commercials still get shown, so the company still gets paid for showing off the products..etc.

The worst thing about the commercials is that it is driving away the real race fans. The ones that watch EVERY race. I know every commercial by heart. Therefore, why do I need to see it 5 billion times a week?? Instead of luring me in, they are driving me away. If I stop watching races (and in turn their commercials), then they screwed themselves...

ESPN is notorious for this. I remember watching the Busch race last weekend. And during a commercial break a wreck happened and they came back at the tail end of it. I think it was the same during yesterday's race as well.

I agree too many commercials expecially near the end....but I understand the program has to be paid for. Take care of that early in the race not at the end.

TNT is supposed to try something different in race 5 (of thier coverage this year) that will limit commercials to 4 minutes per hour. We shall see how it works.

the commercials, pay for the coverage and, the sponsorship of most of the cars so, they don't bother Me at all. what does bother Me is F1 fans who, know nothing about NASCAR racing, getting on here to criticize it. NASCAR has become very popular over the last few years so, they blame the decline of popularity of F1, on NASCAR. in reality, F1's problems, start and, end with, F1. it is a stale, predictable, boring form of auto racing, whose time has come and, gone. the faster they sophisticate themselves out of business, the better F1, is just one level more exciting than, watching paint dry.

I agree 100%.Why cant they have non-stop racing without the commercials? I guess they do have to give the sponsors spotlight for a minute, but do it after the race pleaseeee!! More action, less commercials!!!!!!!!!

I don't know. My family and I think NASCAR's got the best commercials- even better than most in the Superbowl. I just wish we didn't have to see the same ones 8-10 times in one
race.

Beats going to the track, sitting in traffic for four hours and paying the 200 dollars to sit on a cold piece of concrete for three hours and quaffing down 50 dollars woth of cheap beer.
