If the world and the universed are only about 6,000 years old, then how does the light from stars over a million light years away reach the earth?

And don't just say "God made it that way" unless we should believe he wants to decieve us.

God's trying to test you.

That's why he planted all those million-year-old fossils around the planet too.

That Yahweh character... he's a tricky one.

A day is like a 1000 yrs to God, and a 1000 yrs like a day.

So, I have a problem about the 6,000 yrs old theory. That would be the same as 6 days to God.

How can mankind calculate millions light years away. It would take millions light years to get to the source.

Man only has been here approximately 6,000 years.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, Genesis 1:1. It is reasonable to say, that creation of the universe took millions of years.

Dear conway,

I think someone has given you some inaccurate information.... The world, to the present day is 13,019 years old. Many "theologians" have erred in their calculation of the age of the earth because they did not understand God's patriarchal system.

To address the second part of your question, you must understand that the LORD (Jesus Christ) created the universe as a fully functioning and complete system. Adam and Eve, our first parents, were not created as babies that needed to grow up, learn how to speak, walk, eat, etc. They were created as mature adults. So it is with the universe, the LORD created a fully functioning universe. God has ALL knowledge, wisdom, and power. He just spoke this complex universe into existence. "For with God nothing shall be impossible."

There's a long explanation - doctorate thesis length - that is very detailed as to why this is mathematically.

The short answer is, it is. The long answer is about 150 pages of careful research and a lot of math - a book called "Starlight and Time".

The opposite question of course is why do we see a dark universe? Where is the light from the big bang?

and the continents drifted to their current locations in 6000 years. I guess we all missed the Richtor 30 earthquakes that occured continuously for the continents to move at least 1/2 to 1 mile per year.

Sweetie, any idiot that believes that the world is 6000 years old will not be educated by facts or anything else. They would be brainwashed beyond help to even believe such an asinine theory.
