I'm the same... I call it a failed vegetarian! I refuse to eat game, because the animal has been subjected to horrendous stress before dying by those stupid hunters. I don't eat lamb or veal, because they are baby animals. And I also refuse to eat any animal product which is not organic or at least free range. That includes milk, cheese, egg, etc. The conditions battery chickens, etc live in is appalling.
I wish I could be a vegetarian, but unfortunately, I love the taste of meat too much. I am sad really...

I don't eat any wild game for the simple fact that I don't like the flavor it has. This is true for all--venison, turkey, squirrel, etc.
I don't eat veal or lambs because I really don't like the flavor of lamb--it tastes almost "peppery" to me. It's not because they're cute. :)
I don't eat veal for the way they're raised. (Taken from their mothers immediately after birth, made to stand in a pen so small that they have no room to move or exercise. Gain so much weight they become bloated and incredibly sickly.) I've never eaten veal, nor will I ever. I guess I'm a hypocrite right along with you because I love a good steak. :)

I would never eat rabbit- though my boyfriend paolo who is full italian says I have to eat it this summer- when I visit his family ! Oh goodness I can't imagine eating a rabbit, because they're pets. I have one, and I can't imagine eating something I cuddle with. Ick ! As far as lamb is concerned- I doubt i'll ever eat that either. heh. Just because... I don't know. I was raised on beef, and lamb would seem so foreign to me.

I get the heebee jeebies when I think about eating rabbit or lamb too. I guess it is just psychological but I can't eat them either. I have eaten just about every other type of meat though including rattlesnake and gator.

whats the difference? You are still eating dead animals. Yes, its hypocritical to decide that one species of animals is fit to die for your enjoyment, but another is not. Nothing bleeds, screams or dies when I eat. But, the fact that you recognize this might mean you should give your habits a bit more thought. I don't miss having meat in my diet at all

I won't eat lamb or rabbit or veal either. I don't think that makes you a hypocrite, you simply have discriminating tastes.
