Sounds to me like a biblical quote. I take it to mean, do not let the actions of a few spoil your view of everyone. Humanity is an ocean= there are lots of people out there. if a few drops... the ocean does not become dirty= the vastness of humanity itself makes up for the few that may "spoil" your faith

Humanity as a whole are decent, caring individuals. Do not judge the entire species as "bad" because of a few nasty, hateful people.
