I suggested me and my boyfriend take a break...what does a break actually mean in terms of the relationship?

does that mean im single for now? or does it mean im just having some space but im still taken?

I dont plan on doing anything with anyone else! lol i done it to get some space, i was wondering how he might interpret it! haha

It usually means you have free liscense to sleep with whoever you want. Go out, have fun and do whatever you want. Isn't that why you want to have this break? If you get back together and he found out that you slept with someone else and he gets mad just use the Ross defense from Friends: "We were on a break!"

I think a break is when you just need space. You can do all the things you'd do if you were single, BUT: IF you plan on getting back together at some point, don't have sex with someone else, cuz then your relationship will NOT be the same. It won't work out. a break is like, hanging out with your friends, seeing other guys, flirting, maybe casual dating...but no hanky panky! lol

What did you want it to mean when you said it? Did you want to be single for a while or do you just want some space. It could be different with everyone.

Just make sure whatever you decide makes YOU happy. That's all that matters

It mean to take a break from him and he will do the same but its dose not mean to go out with other guy unless he don't mean any thing to you focus on what you need from him and what can you give him and fix it with your self and then talk to him

it depends.. you 2 are the ones that set the guidlines before you actually take a break, when me and my girlfriend took a break, it was for like 2 days, and she wanted me not to talk to her, so she could get some space. good luck!

it means you're still taken. unless you're... me :)) when I take a break... it lasts forever
