You can open a paypal account but it takes a little while to set up as you need to verify your banking details.

If the seller can set up a paypal button you can use your credit card. Ask the seller before you commit to buy.

Why would you want to close the paypal account - you might want to buy something else on ebay?

Yeah you can open and close the account all in the same day if you want to. I agree with the person that said to keep it open, but remove the credit card info. However, a lot of sellers will only ship to confirmed address because of the buyer seller protection plan.

if i were u.. try ask the seller if he accepts bank deposits..

it is not worth it to open a paypal account just to pay for a single purchase..
u know why.. because u may exposed to scams by using paypal.. another thing is u have to place a credit card on your new paypal account.. u may have to take a risk of your paypal account been hijacked & used for ebay purchases..

good luck

being a buyer you do not get charged fees,,,, the seller has to pay paypal fees,,, you just pay for the item they take it out of your acct and then you are done..so no need to close it ever there is only money in it when they take from your acct when you buy something,,,and alot of other sites are using paypal as a way to pay i would advise it is a good thing.. never have had one problem in over 5 yearswith them ,,, and if the seller is a loser you can get your money back

You can close you account by going to your profile and choosing the close account option.

However, I would suggest keeping the account but removing the credit card info from it. That way if you decide to buy again on e-bay you can but there is no credit card for somone to use if they hack into your paypal.
