Biased commentary aside I think it is one of the best races of the year it would be better than the early California race!!

I think that would be a good idea for for Nascar to go international and gain a wider fan base. Besides people in Mexico are big fans of autoracing already. But Nascar would have to drop a track already on the schedule if they were to add Mexico.

I don't know. Right now, I'd say No. I think I'd rather see Nextel Cup hit a road/street course in Canada first... Then maybe look @ expanding to Mexico City. The tracks in Canada are amazing, and I think would make for some AMAZING racing. There's no doubt fans would show up too! So, Put a race in Canada first, then look @ Mexico. And word to NASCAR... Just dont try having a international race somewhere over-seas. That's a market you don't want to venture too. Taking a date away from us fans and moving the races to somewhere OVER-SEAS.. lol, Well lets just say that wouldn't be wise!

*and to Kay M above... It would impossible for NASCAR to bring back Darlington, as they never took Darlington off the schedule. Sure, They took one race away from them... But they still have one other date. I think 1 race @ Darlington a year is a smart move. Racing there is exciting, but as you said, there are so many GREAT tracks that we already run on now why add/build more?! It might not be fair, but I think only a few certain tracks should have 2 dates! Those would be - Daytona (1day/1night), Bristol(1day/1night), Richmond(1day/1night) *they run 2 night now, but need to make the early Richmond race a day race*, and Talladega(1day/1night) *Now, I'm not sure that Dega has lights all the way around their track, but if they don't, they need to put some money up and do it. Tracks with 2 dates need to host a day/night race.. Not 2 of the same!* That's just my opinion though... What do I know?

No. Besides Jr. is building a race track in Alabama that will take up some of the races in 2009. I think that I would rather go to Alabama than Mexico. At least I can understand their language.

No NO and NOOOOO - why in the WORLD would NASCAR think about adding Mexico to their NEXTEL schedule (Busch shouldn't go their either!!)? Why would they want to build NEW tracks, either? There are MANY wonderful tracks around the country that NASCAR could use - bring back Darlington or Rockingham!!! Time for NASCAR to pull heads from butts and see what they're doing - building for the future my fanny - they're turning off more fans than they're turning on by changing the venues all the time.

Note: my bad - should have qualified: bring back the Southern 500 on Labor Day - K

I believe they will to increase popularity in Mexico. Mexico City is the second largest populated cities, if they can't sell tickets there, then the Corona series won't have a chance.

why not....its a good track.while im not a huge fan on road courses, i dont mind it. i still watch anyways. as far as taking races overseas...no. they have had exhibition races in Japan and one in Austrailia. but nascar already has its own series in Mexico (NASCAR Mexico Corona Series) and also have its own series in Canada (NASCAR Canadian Tire Series)

no way!!! they have already brought in toyota, and as far as i am concerned tarnished the whole nascar organization by doing so, but to take it out of the U.S., that would be downright un American. keep it here in the U.S. and let us blue blooded Americans enjoy our sport on our own soil.

Yes, and also in other parts of the world. I think we should give F1 a run for the money.
