You do what you're supposed to do. You betray no emotions, have no outbursts and sit there in court and let things take their course. If you lower yourself to the level of those that do then shame on you. Acting like that does nothing but show the court that everyone involved is no better than the clown in the docket.

The vast majority of cases are pled out before they ever even make it to trial. Chances are you will not even have to testify. Sounds like some counselling could help you with your anger and grief. Give yourself some time; 4 months is not that long to deal with something like this.

The states attorney will instruct you on what to expect and how to behave. If you cant control yourself let the attorney know. Being unruly in court will only help the defense.

The lawyer will go over your testimony with you before hand, just try to be calm, but if you can't, then you can't. Juries like emotion anyway. Hope the guy gets whats coming to him.

Just stay calm, answer the questions if you're a witness, if not, just keep silent and let justice prevail.
Good luck!

don't be afraid to show some emotion, but make sure to be careful not to cross the line. i wouldn't be afraid to tell the guy who did it how you feel, but make sure that you are careful of how you come across to the authorities....

You control your behavior. Be cool and chill. It will be tough but if you get tossed it will be all on you.
