If a woman were to protest, saying" Of course it was a righteous war. My son fell in it.", does that then make it so?

People like to think anything they do is "holy" and approved by god.

Because one person says it is so makes it so? Not a chance. If it did, what if a mother of a fallen son on both sides said that? Then who is right? The last one to say it? The first one to die??? Which side of the war is right? Typically the "right" side of the war is determined by the winner. History is written by the victors of war.....it was right and just for the US to split from England, but it was criminal for the south to split from the north in the civil war. War is never right, but is sometimes nessicary.

So you would take this woman's belief and disrespect what she has endured with the ultimate sacrifice of her son, just to prove your point? Cold hearted! Have you no feelings, like love and compassion? To her it's true, despite what you believe.

War is tragic, with losses and atrocities. Can it be righteous and just? Is it necessary? History speaks for itself. Learn from it.

Of course not. Like saying a kids baseball match is more important than the World Series, just because my kid played in it.

The soldiers and their families (are there many who are not?) seem to perpetuate this righteous attitude. War is NEVER right for any reason. There is ALWAYS another solution.

I don't think there is anything anyone can say or do that would make the unprovoked attack on the innocent people of "Kosovo" righteous.

No- her viewpoint is not that of her childs. The viewpoint that matters is that of the soldier. Anyway my views aren't based on families. Most families disagree. My viewpoint is based on what I see,read,hear,study,learn... for myself.
