I know after induction you start phase 2 and slowly add carbs back into your diet just as long as you are still losing, but my question is what foods are allowed? I know a lot of people don't agree with this diet but I would like answers from someone who knows this answer- not comments about how bad this diet is

Phase two will allow more veggies, like corn/carrots. Basically the veggies you weren't supposed to eat during phase 1 you can have now in reasonable portions. You can also have the Akins foods that are prepared, ex. protein bars, shakes, candies, etc.

Check out, atkins.com and you can view a list of things you can eat.

I did this diet for a year and a half, and it worked pretty well. I am just such a picky eater that it wasn't for me after awhile. I do cut carbs on occasion when I have to lose weight quickly.

If you can't buy the diet book (which seems to be the only way to find out what to eat when), see if you can borrow a copy from your local library.
