"caffeinated beverages do not lead to dehydration"

As others mentioned, take a look at the humidity level you are spending time in, and if you are getting enough clear liquids a day (esp water). Staying well hydrated will help keep your skin from drying out, as will applying a good quality moisturizer on the outside.

Enjoy your coffee...it's not drying you out. ☺

How much water are you drinking should be a question you should be asking. One cup coffee shouldn't be drying you out. Winters cold dry wheather can also play the part of robbing the skin from moisture.

I don't think it's the coffee. I don't drink any coffee and my skin is dry. Try drink more pure water and moisterizing lotion. Also you might want to start taking showers at night instead of in the morning. I find that showering in the morning drys my skin out more.

Coffee is a diuretic, which means it makes you pee. So if you're peeing out tonnes of water, then yeah, it might dry out your skin. If you've only been having one cup of coffee a day, then I don't think it's the coffee that's doing it. Might be the weather, or the environment you're in most of the day. I wouldn't blame the coffee for it.

Well I have never had a problem with that, and I tend to drink quite a bit more than 1 cup a day.

Maybe it's just that the air has been very dry this winter?

I don't know if coffee would do that, but you need to drink more water if you skin is dry. That will help.

the coffee has two important characteriscs that are related to your question:
1. it helps you eliminate the water from your body due to it`s properties
2. it has a specific amount of fat (grease) due to the process of prepairing it.
this fat keeps the water away of your body but also should help the texture of your skin

coffee, if it is drinked hot will affect your skin, giving it an old aspect, you will get to have a skin with wrinkles and a dry look!
