I want to try the Weight watchers points system. I heard that the meetings help a lot but I don't have time to include them in my schedule.

Sure it does! http://www.weightwatchers.com has all the information you need to stay on track in the comfort of your own home. The meetings help I'm sure, but I don't think they're necessary for success if you can stay within your points each day.

I have been on WW for four weeks now. I bought the Dining Out and general food companions on E-bay. I have lost ten pounds. I watch my points, I drink only water, and I exercise. I do NOT go to meetings. (I probably would have lost more than 10 pounds, but if I see something I REALLY want, I eat it!) I buy the SmartOnes, Lean Cuisine, and Healthy Choice meals. They all have the WW points values listed right on the box. Some people will tell you those aren't accurate b/c they aren't WW endorsed, but if you look hard enough online, you can find the WW formula for calculating points! I have checked them all and found the points on the box to be correct.

Good luck!

It can still work, but it's much more effective if you attend meetings. There are meetings every day of the week, starting very early in the morning and ending in the evening. If you really want to attend the meetings you can probably find one that fits in your schedule.

Yes it does! The point system is actually really great, because you can eat anything and you don't have to do a whole lot of complicated math with the calories, fat, fiber, etc. The meetings have been shown to greatly IMPROVE your weightloss chances and amount lost, but they aren't necessary as long as you can motivate yourself. Good luck!

I've been on WW for years. And the meetings are very helpful as they hold you accountable each week. I do the best when I attend and I think most people on the program would agree. At least go to weigh-in.

And they aren't very costly, especially since when you hit Lifetime you no longer pay.

Sure - it's what you eat (or don't eat) that counts. Sure, the meetings are good for support and encouragement - but you should lose if you follow thur with the eating part.
