Well, it is just matter on how you see the glass in the first place.
If the glass was empty before you filled it, it is half-full. If, in the other hand, the glass was full before, now it is half-empty.
But, if you don't know if the glass was full or empty before, or if it was filled or emptied, then it is a matter of how you see it.

Hey...news flash...the glass is half full because it is. Maybe that's all they wanted. Maybe they drank the top half. Maybe they don't want any more. Maybe they're saving the rest for later. Maybe they're waiting to see what will grow in the cup. Another news flash...if the glass was made empty in the first place, how can it now be half full? Sounds like a question for magicians! Besides, I'm into coffee cups, so I guess I can't really answer this one. Never mind! <*)))><

If you only filled the glass 1/2 way to begin with, then it would be half full. But if you filled it full and emptied 1/2, then it's 1/2 empty.

It is, quite simply, just a half a glass of water.

Don't know. It's like what came first? The chicken or the egg? It is how you look at it I suppose. *smile*
