I have started to feel a little tired again this week and am noticing that I am getting increasingly breathless. I am quite petite too so maybe the baby has less room? Did anyone else feel breathless at this stage and is there anything I can do to help it?

i felt gret the past two or three months, but since the last week, at 25 weeks, i also started feeling tired at times.. some days, i would just lie down not able to do much in the house, and other days can be better. i guess it is normal, we are pregnant after all! i also am increasingly breathless, and it is because the uterus keeps growing and pushed your organs up. when you sleep, try to put several pillows instead of one, so your back is not totally flat, this way you breathe better through the night. and also take it easy on stairs, and long walks. the baby needs a good supply of oxygen at all times, so if you are breathless, he is also not getting enough oxygen. take a rest when you're tired. sometimes, talking a short walk to the park and sitting in a bench helped me a great deal, do the same if the park is not far from home.
good luck, you're half way through.

baby will always have enough room as has the advantage of growing outwards- I too am petite and my 9.6 pounder had plenty of room I was just huge in the belly department by the 40 weeks! You will be tired your body is going through a massive change and think of all the extra blood you are pumping around! The breathlessness is because baby is growing and pushing up on your organs- perfectly natural. So get lots of rest now as believe me come the day baby arrives that will be it for early nights and lay ins! Enjoy and all the best

there is not alot you can do about it apart from watching your posture.try sitting up straight and keeping your back straight when walking, not easy i know when you got this big heavy bump.the problem is bec your baby is high up and is starting to fill up your stomach which is causing the baby to push on your lungs...the baby will run out of room towards the end of pregnancy but this is normal and will not cause any damage to the baby (petite or not)
make sure you rest and take things easy..you should find the breathing gets easier as the baby's head engages.

Its normal to feel a mild breathlessness as your lung get squished by junior but if you get worried get your midwife or Dr to check you over.Good posture, rest and an extra pillow at night may help.

Best of luck It will be worth it.

Sounds about right...as you ease into the third trimester, many women find themselves increasingly out of breath. It used to wake me up at night and keep me from sleeping! It's not just that everything is expanding, it's also that your heart is increasing it's workload, as your body now has 30% more volume of fluid to pump, though your red blood cell count doesn't go up. Consequently, you have to breathe more to get the same amount of oxygen you used to get normally.
Don't worry, just take deep breaths and try to relax. Also, try yoga, it really helped me!

yes the larger your bump gets the more out of breath you will become the baby is fine though , just don't rush around as much slow your self down to like a snail an it will make your breathing much better an try relaxing an putting your feet up when ever you can , an enjoy the rest of your pregnancy ..

Well you've done quite well, i think I'd get tired after about 10 mins! On a more serious note, are you taking your vitamins?
