Uhh, it depends on many factors. How old is the "infant"? If you are breastfeeding, infants do not need any other food until they are older than 6 months. If the baby is bottle fed, then solids can potentially be started at 4 months and usually this is plain cereal. Fruits can be introduced later (after vegetables) around 7 to 9 months. At that point, if you wanted to offer the baby a banana every day - I don't think there is any harm. I would just assure that he is getting a variety of foods - not just bananas. And I wouldn't give a whole banana - just a wedge maybe. I use to blend the baby food banana with tofu to make a "yogurt" for my son and he ate it almost daily. So, again, I don't think there is any detriment.

Age and health of the bay is important for deciding the food.A normal infant of three months old can normally be given fruits in the form of juices.
Babies above 4 months can have solid food. Bananas can also be given. Banana are of different varieties. The soft ones could be given to an infant in the form of a paste everyday one feed. Those hard ones should be steam cooked and made to paste form before feeding. All these process are to be done keeping in mind the baby's digestion capability.
Feeding should be done carefully so that there will not be any difficulty in swallowing .
Extra care should be taken to avoid contamination of the food during the preparation and feeding process.
Banana can be fed daily once preferably before noon?
Observe for any problem after the first feed of a small quantity. If everything is normal increase the quantity to the desired level.
Some babies may be allergic to bananas and certain fruits.Only your pediatrician can suggest remedies for allergy related problems.

I would give him a variety of foods as opposed to a single fruit everyday. Since it does have potassium - it is good to add to the diet several times a week. But if the choice is a banana or a pudding choose the banana.

It is safe to give about an inch of a banana to an infant every other day, making sure it is mashed up properly. It helps bowel movements tremendously and your baby would have more solid waste than liquid waste.
As they say, moderation is key!

If he likes it, go for it! Just remember that bananas are part of the 'BRAT' diet. That is the diet we give people who have had diarrhea to help return their stools to normal. Make sure he doesn't have too hard of stools from it!

I used to give mine bananas every day, however the only thing is, they are high enegy food, so early in the day is best. So with a well balanced diet its ok.

Too much of anything is bad for you. As far as infants are involved, I find they have a natural reaction. If their body has had enough, they will puke.
