First see your doctor and find out about what is the appopriate weight for your height and how much weight they think you need to lose. Then think about what you want from the exercise - to slim or to get fit. Then start to incorporate more exercise in your normal life - walking home from school/work, cut down on fatty foods and the quantity of the food you have. Start to do some jogging work out a route that is approx 1 mile and use this to train and judge how you are doing, time your self for 1 mile and record this as a way of seeing your progress. Then begin to incorporate some abds work crunches and resistance training using weights - your local library might have some workout DVD's you can borrow to give you some ideas. Remember though persistance is everything, and don't just do crunches without burning off the fat - you'll end up with a hard stomach under a layer of blob.
Good luck keep going and let us know how you are doing.

I know this is what everone says..but exercise is key. When i was in highschool i weighed a lot and wanted to loose my "fat belly" My family all went on the Diabetic exchange diet used for diabetecs, and i lost about 30 lbs. Also with swimming and using the treadmill i lost a lot. They also say that drinking milk and eating dairy products help break up stomach fat Good Luck!

First of all, are you sure you're fat? Its not as silly a question as you may think. Currently there are lots of young adults like you who think they need to lose weight because of the media's obsession with stick figures being attractive. If your fairly active and follow a sound diet, meaning one of moderation, then chances are your extra weight will naturally disappear as you grow. If, on the other hand, you really do have some excess weight to lose, then the best advice is to talk to your doctor first and get his input. Normally, the combination of moderate dieting with moderate exercise and enough rest will do the trick. Aerobic exercise and strength training are generally the tao's of successful weight loss. Drink plenty of water and make sure you get enough rest. It is during the rest phases where you make your greatest gains. Good luck.

Just try to eat healthy, nutritious food and avoid empty calories.

You could join a gym or a sports club. try to get a mate to join too, then you'll have company.

Or, you could try running, which is, of course, free. If you are unfit, try a walk-run program which gives a gentle build up and ensures you exercise for a good 20 minutes without 'crashing and burning'. Just stick on your ipod and you'll be back home before you know it. It won't take long either before you start to feel good and your belly will be gone before you know it.

Always start by consulting your physician, as you may be unable to do certain physical activities.
That being said you need to do a couple of things.
1) Get involed in sports. Nowdays all sports help with nutrion and cross training excersise to help with the specific sports.
If that doesn't interest you, than after seeing your doctor ask them they can refer you to a dietician and they will help refer you to physical trainers and so on and so forth

Always have vegetables on hand. Saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in coconut oil and garlic. Add some red pepper or perhaps turmeric for additional flavor as well as separate into portion-sized containers to the fridge.

work out. youre also in high school, get involved with sports (football, basketball) your coaches will work you out enough! if you dont want to do that, see if maybe one of yer friend will work out with you, at the local YMCA, gym, or even just running around town. Im sure youll find someone, becuz everyone wants to lose a few pounds. Also, eat right. More veggies & water are key to losing weight, cut out that candy crap & pop (soda for southern folk lol) well anyways good luck to you!

Distracted dining can get you in trouble. Avoid eating looking at a television or in a movie theater, as you're bound to use up more calories.
