I already have several exotic piercings (nipples and clit) and I am wondering what happens when I give birth and when I breastfeed. I do not plan on taking them out unless I have to and my doctor has not told me to take them out . I read that I can take my clit ring out right before I deliver and my nipple rings right before I feed with the baby and put them back in when I'm finished. I did not have any of these piercings when I had my son 8 years ago, I only had a navel ring that I didn't take out, so I don't know what to expect. Has anyone had experience with these particular piercings during pregnancy.

You shouldn't have a problem with the **** piercing.

The nipple rings would have to come out when you feed the baby to avoid causing damage to his/her gums and accidental swallowing. If you get some barbells, curved barbells or horseshoes it will be a lot easier than fighting with CBRs. Other than being a bit of a pain in the a**, it shouldn't present any problems

if you have the patience to take the nipple ones out constantly while breastfeeding then theres no problem there.as for the clit piercing you probably wont have to tke it out unless your doc wants you to.i have a friend who had hers done and gave birth with it in with no problem except for her mom finding out she had one done!lol.talk to your doc and hell be able to let ya know whats best in your situation.congrats on the baby by the way!!

first off.. wow... you didn't take out your navel ring during pregnancy? didn't it stretch. second off i'd take them out in general especially the nipple rings. you'll be feeding so much at odd hours at the night that you aren't going to want to take them out and clean them every single time before and after you feed. especially if you get lazy and forget to clean them... you don't want all that bacteria going where your baby's mouth does.

well truthfully once you have your baby you may change your mind about having your nipples pierced anyway.. having a baby makes you think in a different way.. just think about this.. you will be breast feeding your baby most likely every hour or 2.. i know i breast fed.. and do you really want to risk an infection from constantly taking them in and out.. i had my nipples pierced for 2 years and took them out for 4 days and couldn't get them back in. its your body do what you wish but maybe you should really talk with your doctor about this.
