Well consider this.
The main name or name of focus from the time practice started until the checkers flew was Montoya.Every racing update there he was Montoya over and over.First practice Montoya getting use to the track.Second practice Montoya better.Quailifing Montoya better.Final practice you guessed it Montoya. So why is this a surprise.Dang NASCAR even left the rule book on rough driving
in The United States.
Thats all I have to say about that.

I agree. Thought maybe I was the only one that felt that way. Lets see how montoya does in Vegas.
P.S Thorn for president. His comment made me laugh pretty hard. Bull fights at Talledega would be a site. Lets see Montoya dress up as a bullfighter before the race just to bring more of his fans to the races. I think nascar is looking into that right now since they could not fill the seats in Mexico so now they gotta go to plan B.

It certainly looked and smelt "fishy" to me! Why was there NO caution flags thrown in the early part of the race for the spins, then all of a sudden when Montoya was moving up the field, a car put a wheel off course and the caution flag was quickly thrown. Even Robin Miller mentioned this on SPEED. Just watched a DTM race at Hockenheim, these Mercedes & Audis were banging fenders with debris of carbon-fiber flying off which can cut a tire like a knife, spining, crashing, with No debris caution EVER thrown! Has Brian France been talking to Vince McMahon? Ever since Brian has taken over NASCAR, alot of "oddball" situations have been happening lately. Or I guess they figure the average race fan is just too "dumb" to notice! QUIT PLAYING GAMES! LET'S GO RACING BOYS (& girls)!!!!!

I think there are some other Latin racers who have raced there before, but have not won in the past. Montoya's car was fast all afternoon even when he was behind. I don't think it was fixed, but I do agree that he has received more coverage than is warranted at this stage of his career. If he wins several Nextel Cup races, then he will deserve all the praise he is getting now. It's almost like NASCAR is gloating over the fact they got a Formula One driver in NASCAR.

Your comments not only won you the pole, but by the time the race is over you will have lapped all your competition.
Latino wins first nascar race in MEXICO CITY. Come on?
I like Nascar but their a credbility took a hit in this one.
Maybe one possible explanation; Montoya got some pre race advice from Tony Stewart.

I would wish Nascar would stop the over regulating, and the BS about diversity, There was a time in Nascar racing that you could actually see if a car in the race was a Ford or Chevy or Dodge. Is there now any difference, these are like IROC cars. Who cares now that Toyota is in it. Maybe the next race will be in Tokyo. How about a bull fight at Talladega, a soccer game in Daytona. And does anybody know who Brad Doughtery is....he's an ex-basketball player.I'm sure they could have found an ex driver or crew chief . If they want diversity, send a couple of thousand go carts to the ghetto and let the 8 and 10 year olds there learn to drive. That's if they don't steal the wheels off of them, but That could be looked at as training for diversity in the pit crew. And please spare me the racist tag. Someone who is a realist is oft labeled incorrectly.

Juan Pablo was already the icon of latino racing as far as it comes to NASCAR so there goes your argument on that one. Also, NASCAR Fixing a Race? Are you mad? There is NO FREAKING WAY that has or will ever happen. Teams wouldn't allow it! Owners wouldn't allow it! Drivers wouldn't allow it! and SPONSORS damn sure wouldn't allow it!!! Think how much work it would take for NASCAR to go behind ALL those peoples backs to fix the race! It'd be impossible. No way this is even POSSIBLE.
AND FOR ALL YOU THAT WANT HIM PENALIZED FOR AGGRESSIVE DRIVING!! Has NASCAR EVER, EVER, EVER!!! done that in the past to any participates running first and second with that little laps left in the race?! NO.. Why would the rule apply any different for Juan Pablo.. All you racist NASCAR fans need to chill out, and shut the F*** UP. It's you bastards that give us a bad name. Nothing wrong with any of the other NASCAR fans... but you RACIST f*cks need to get a damn life.
