Is it the prospect of heaven? Just because the bible tells you so doesnt mean its the truth. If you believe in Christ JUST to get to heaven, thats pretty lame. What then? What rewards do you want to obtain after you get to heaven? lamo

for me, it was when i realized that i just could not 'do' life well without Jesus in it... guiding me and helping me thru the stuff that fills life on this earth. even if there was no heaven and no reward other than the presence and peace I have now that I have given my life to him, I would and will always follow Christ

There is no reward needed beyond heaven. Heaven is the ultimate reward any human being can experience. Once there we will have no unfulfilled needs or desires. Heaven is ultimate fulfillment as a human being. And loss of heaven is ultimate failure as a human being. Heaven is not really a "reward" in the usual sense though, since it is not given to us as compensation for anything we have done. It is a free gift, which we can freely choose to accept or reject.

It's one thing to read somethng, but it's another to see it in action. Just seeing all of the miracles that happened in my mother's life made my belief strong. Amazing things happened in her life that couldn't happen according to science.

My mother was proclaimed dead by the doctors when she gave birth to myself and my brother, but God brought her back to life. My nephew was shot 4 times, and the doctor said he had a 10% chance of living. I prayed to God in the name of Jesus, and because of that, he is alive to this day. I have seen too many miracles NOT to believe.

I feel I had nothing to lose by accepting Jesus into my life, and now I have joy that some people spend their whole life looking for.

The reward is, when we get to heaven, they'll be no more pain, murder, or hate. We live forever in everlasting peace. Plus, going to Heaven means that I avoid burning in hell for eternity.

Ah, Jibba Jabba:
The basis is askew.
Your question revolves around the word 'reward'.
It is not a question of 'getting' anything.
Love gives.
People who are appreciative and grateful find it easy to give.
Aren't you like that?
BTW Nobody goes to heaven.
That's a lie put out by christendom.
Please don't confuse christendom with Christianity.
There is a huge gulf between the two.

Love... for and from God.
Love... for and from other people.
Love is our primary motivation and its own reward.

Heaven and eternal life are gifts from God,
like our salvation, because God loves us.
It's not a reward to be obtained or earned.
We love Him, because He first loved us!

I doubt we feel or are motivated any less or more than you would be on your beliefs. There is no difference here except truth that we possess and you still seek

Eternal peace awaits me.

I feel I'll answer for all Christians by saying that we believe what we believe out of respect for our creator.

Why do you believe what you believe?

Why do you love your parents, because they give you stuff, or because they love you.
