My husband has terrible foot odor. What kind of doctor is there that can help him with it? He is really bummed out about it and want's me to help him find a cure. Are there any remedies that you know of that might help him? He is a truck driver so he is driving all day. They do not smell in the morning but when he gets home they are terrible. On the weekends, they do not smell at all. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Wow some one in here that has the same problem I have with my husband.

Well my husband has seen Doctors and a foot Doctor is called a pediatrist. Well nothing ened up working and I understand about the truck driving part to my husband has been a driver for 5 years now and man do I have to take his shoes and stick them outside. I have tried every spray there is and nothing works. The odor is a bacteria that lives in sweaty feet and well to keep his feet smelling good he needs to change his socks a few times a day and this is funny to see to but get hima pedicure. He will love it so much but it works so well its not funny. I have even made him soak his feet in everything I can find and the only thing that helps is Hydrenporoxcide yeah I buy it buy the gallon it seems just for his feet but it kills the bactiria in his feet and helps out a bunch. Tell him to get a soap called Lava Bar. Its great for you as well. It will help with the dead skin on his feet cause if your husband is like mine then his feet are white when he takes his shoes off and yellow once they dry. That is dead skin that cant come off kind of like a calous so have his scrub them puppies GOOD. My husband still wont deal with his feet unless I tell him I will scrub them but that is when it gets so bad I have to open the windows. So hang in there and buy him shoes to air his feet out even if its sandles for part of the day or even when he is just driving and when he gets out he can put Tennies on.

Feet must be very clean and dry - use a soapy back brush in the shower, rinse and dry well. Then spray with rubbing alcohol. Powder. Put on socks and shoes.
you can even spray a little rubbing alcohol in the shoes each time he removes them to freshen them up. Wipe them out with a damp wash rag first. Don't oversaturate the shoes with rubbing alcohol or it could dissolve the glue that holds the sole on the inside.
I have been doing this for years and have no foot odor even after a long day.

There are a remarkable amount of sweat glands in the feet! You can have surgery to block them, but its painful and of course, the body will naturally find a new venue for the sweat to be released! Cotton socks, washing and thoroughly drying morning and evening, breathable shoes (can he wear sandals or such when driving?). Best bet for smelly shoes....stuff newspaper in when removing...the paper soaks up the moisture AND the odor. Common problem, not an easy or sure fix!

my hubby has smelly feet too . . he does better when he takes and extra pair of socks to change into 1/2 thru the day and rotates shoes he has 3 pair of work boots that are the same and he wears a different pair each day . . I spray the recently worn pair with bleach spray after he takes them off and let dry. . he aplies foot cream (homemade I have the receipe at home) every morning before he puts on his socks . . he ad an out of town job and only took 1 extra pair of boots and forgot the foot cream and he told me he could tell that he forgot them from the way his feet were.

First thing is cut out most of your sugar intake, no double -doubles, donuts, pies etc. Stinky feet, if no Athletes Foot is present, are a sign of too much yeast in your body. He needs to drink a lot of water and avoid empty calories from refined flour.
Let him try it, because it's true. My husband went from a 4 teaspoon sugared coffee to one and weaned himself of that one too. I cut down his cookies, cakes and pie intake and bingo the smelly feet were gone after a week. All the other stuff like powder etc. is a temporary help and will not solve the real problem.

A sure cure for this problem is to bathe your feet in a strong solution of salt water every day for two weeks. Or until the odour stops ,after that once a week will be enough to keep the odour at bay.

The feet must be kept clean and dry. I put a little bit of talcum powder in the bottom of my shoes. That seems to help.
