Why do I react so badly to red light?

At church Sunday they added red gels to some of the stage lights. The longer I sat under them the sicker I felt. My eyes hurt and I got very nauseas. I had to go home early. I've had a sensitivty to red light since childhood. Any ideas what causes this and isis uncommon?

ive never heard of this... maybe you should Google it or something cause i think it is somewhat uncommon.
