*NOTE* -- Don't post some preachy thing about how smoking is bad. I know all of that already.
A co-worker of mine smokes Marlboro Lights. He gives out cigarettes to his co-workers whenever they ask for them. We'd like to pay him back by buying him a pack. But I thought it would be nice to pay him back with a pack of nicer smokes. The problem is that there's no way to know what his tastes are. So for those of you who like Marlboro Lights, what kind of expensive cigarettes would you buy for yourself as a treat? Dunhill Lights is the only idea I have at the moment....

Davidoff's & Benson&Hedges are great cigarettes that are bit pricey and have the same Marlboro Lights taste. Just buy him a few packs of his regular smokes. He smokes Marlboro because he likes them, if he wanted Dunhills or something else, he would buy those. Most smokers are terribly loyal to their brands, getting him something else might not actually be as nice a gesture as you think it will be.
P.S Smoking is bad for you.

I smoke marlboro lights and I wouldn't want another brand. Most smokers stay with a brand, I would just get him some msrlboro lights he would like it.

Don't try switching his brand. Honestly. I smoke ML and if someone gave me a pack of something else, I'd be having a hard time acting thankful. Stick with his favorite brand. Once a smoker has found his/her brand, it probably will never change unless they want to.

Unfortunetly, smoking is not like drinking. Most smokers like their brand only, and despite the cost or "quality" of the better cigarettes, you should just buy him more of what he likes. Get him a carton, and maybe a nice bottle of booze. Or buy him lunch, you get the picture.

Buy him a couple of packs of Marlboro Lights and he will be happy. Just don't borrow those cause that would be kind of ridiculous.

As a former smoker, I agree with the above poster. Smokers buy the brand they enjoy and rarely, if ever, smoke something else. I'd stick with buying him the brand he smokes and maybe purchase him a nice lighter to go with them.
By the by....VERY nice of you to want to pay him back for his generosity. You just don't see that too often anymore. :)

I bet if you just purchased him a few packs of the ML he would be happy.
smokers smoke what they like all the time
you don't treat your self to a cigarette you might get a beer of a nice bottle of wine

I'd just by myself another pack! Don't go changing his brands, smokers don't like that at all, glad to help you man, Smoking is a bad habit but ahh what the hell it's our lungs not yours :)

Get him a carton. You never know what someone will think of another brand, and a carton will go a lot farther than a pack of something he doesn't like.
