I would ask for a definition of "demon", then I would also ask for the proofs that Mediums are talking to "demons",

Also, and I suppose this is dependent on the definition of "demon", but is it possible that there are some Mediums who are talking to spirits which are in fact not, are in fact not . . "demons".

I guess I'm really just confused about this whole Mediums talk to Demon thing, part of it is the crazyness with which Christians talk about Evolution, it just really makes me think I'm talking to people who got off a time machine from the 1700s when we didn't have Darwinian theories, and back when there was like a Salem Witch Hunt, you see, cause a lot of innocent people were murdered by those Witch Hunts,

so I'm just really curious if its just more crazy Christian talk cause some Bible verse says so, or if there is like actual evidence of a Medium talking to a Demon.

Also, is it a logical fallacy to say all Mediums would talk to these Demons intentionally?

I've never met a medium in the flesh, but you could try this to get the demons to reveal themselves, if they be demons.

You could have a christian present. When the spirit being is present, speaking through the medium, then let the christian ask the spirit some things pertaining to Jesus.
Especially with regard to the blood of Jesus Christ, the atoning sacrifice for sin. According to the bible the crucifixion and Jesus resurrection was like D-day for Satan's kingdom. They don't like it up 'em, Capt'n Mainwaring. Mere mention of the blood can get some extremely agitated.

Mediums would not know this to be the case otherwise they'd quickly stop. The name of Jesus gets manifesting demons scared.

Many mediums are probably frauds in it for the money.

Pangel: You are too sweet-natured to be a fraud. I don't think demons would personally gain greatly by the deceit. It could be a Satanic strategy though to 'muddy the waters' by giving the impression that everyone is safe and sound on the other side of death. If they are demons they would do as they are told by entities higher up in the 'food chain'. Certainly the New Testament suggests that after death, people don't come back; they await judgement. Christians' spirits go directly to God as they are a special case.

ok as you know I am a medium ... I dont like to hear about beautiful spirit being called demons
but I do understand that is what they are taught and i respect that
however I have never had this question answered satisfactorily
how do we know it is demons ? why would demons do this ? what would they gain from it ?..... nothing
but
I am told that unless spirit declare Jesus is the saviour , then they must not be from God
that is ok if Christianity was true ... but thats a matter of opinion
so the way i see it is
yes if Christians are right and spirit do not declare this truth , then they must be demons
or
Christians are not right and spirit are who they say they are ... our loved ones waiting for us

circular logic again

Well there is indication in the NT that the dead can't communicate with the living, so if mediums aren't talking to the dead, could it be....Satan??? (or a demon representative)

I personally believe that mediums are talking to themselves and the people in the room with them. Highly doubt that any of those qualify as demons.

I ve had enough of the born again Christians believing theirs is the only religion and constantly putting their two cents in about things they know nothing about. Know this: if you would have been born in China, you would have been a Buddhist. The world is a big place. Try expanding your mind just a little please.

I am not christian but in the bible it states that God gave spiritual gifts to man. Here is the verses.

1 Corinthians 12
Spiritual Gifts
1Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. 2You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

You can read for yourself. Many christians do not know about this and when confronted with this bible verse they tend to drop the subject. The reason I am not christian is I have trouble beleiving in a book filled with contraditory messages. One minute its eye for an eye the next it is love thy neighbor. But anyway a little of topic. Mediums talk to spirits plain and simple. I dont think demons will talk with you just try to hurt you or mess with you.

I wasn't aware that there was even a choice in the matter.
