From freezer to refrigerator? How long until a chicken breast will be thawed?

For sanitary reasons DONT THAW AT ROOM TEMP!!!! salmonella threat. It will be usable after 24hrs thawed in a refrigerator.

That depends on the method you use to defrost or thaw. If you just transfer it to your refrigerator it will take about 6 hours. If you put in the microwave it will take about 9 minutes. If you place it in hot tap water it will take about 30-45 minutes. But, depending on how you are cooking it, and the recipe, you may not need to thaw before cooking.

A frozen chicken breast from freezer to fridge will take about 12 hours to thaw IN a micorwave it will take three minutes . and under running water itwill take 15 minutes.

I would say 2 or more hours. So if you need it for dinner I would put it in the refrigerator in the morning.
