He was certainly the ideological father of what we've come to know as "Christianity" - some of us feel it should really be called Paulism.
I've always supposed that Jesus himself was not the pro-faith fanatic Paul became. Jesus doesn't (usually) come across as harsh and uncharitable as Paul.

This is quite a strange question but here it goes..... Paul was more christ-like than Jesus due to the fact that Paul could only be "like" Christ and not the very essence and definition of Christ, like Jesus was and is and will be.

um........no. Paul was a follower of Jesus Christ. How could someone be more Christ-like than God?
you know, Paul would probably slap you for that too.

How can someone else be more Christ-like than Christ Himself? Paul was blessed as was Peter and John and many others. But Christ is the Son of God, sinless, perfect, divine.
What verses are you referring to?

Considering he was the one who wrote much of it that is not surprising. Remember none of the biblical authors ever met Jesus and a few of them probably did not believe he was a god. The concept of the trinity was alien to all of them.

ummmmmmmmmmm no... how can someone be 'more' than the person they are compared to? no one could be more Christ like than Jesus cuz he IS the Christ...
it would be saying that an elvis impersonator is more of an elvis than elvis was!

Paul was fairly hardcore, yes. I don't know if that is christ-like at all.
