Thy will most likely never really "like" your new pup but will eventually tolerate and accept him, just leave them alone and encourage the pup not to bother them... let them do their thing and dont try and force them, it will only make things worse. From experience I would say they will take at least a few months to work out their routine with one another and establish boundaries.. all your role should be is making sure that they dont bother each other, hurt each other or otherwise conflict with each other. Dont try to make them get along just let them work it out on their own while you supervise the process.

Just as a rule of thumb about cats... if you have cats already they will never truly like any new dog you bring in they will just get along, if you have a dog first and bring a kitten home they will become best friends 99% of the time.

Just give 'em time. They probably won't like the puppy until he grows up and stops acting like a puppy... meaning a year or two. Eventually, the dog and the cats will establish an understanding and things will settle down. (i.e., you come near me, I'll scratch your nose off)

I guess if your cat is a little kitten or is young you can teach it to play with the dog and if it doesn't work let your dog and cat get to know each other maby let them play with a ball cats love balls of yarn why wouldnt they like a plastic ball that a dog can play with maby they will be freinds then
