How do I become the adult I should be? And show him?
We usually just argue, act jealous, and ask questions about each others whereabouts. We are both tired of this, and have no other relationship like this with are other friends.
I want to be more civilized with him, or else we will los what we have.
I love him and we are not that close any more. How can I get that back, where do I start?

It sounds as though the trust is gone out of your relationship. You both have to find ways to trust one another. The line of communication needs to be more and better than what you’re doing. If there is no trust in the relationship then there is no relationship. One of you has to be the bigger person and say it has to change as far as communication and the mistrust. You have to take baby steps in order to repair this. When he’s out don’t call him every 5 seconds to check up on him. If he says I’ll be back in 15 minutes but doesn’t come back until 45 minutes later don’t jump to your own conclusions. After about 30 minutes call him and say hey babe are you ok. However you can even just let it go if you can and don’t ask why he was 30 minutes later than he originally stated. Whatever his answer is just say ok and let it go. The little tit-for-tat has to stop or your relationship is never going to be repaired. What the both of you have to realize is you’re both old enough to know better. Either you’re going to agree that both of you will state more as to your comings and goings or you’re not and you’re not going to fight about it. Best of luck.

Dont call him for awhile...make plans with your friends for those nights you would normally be with him. If you think you are going to want to answer the phone, turn your ringer off so you miss the call that way even if you call him back it wont be right away and he will wonder about all the fun you are having without him. This will give you the upper hand and make him re evaluate.
