India has achieved 9.2 percent GDP growth rate which is commendable. But the areas of concern are agriculture and infrastructure development. Agriculture production has stopped its growth for the past 6 years or so. Infrastructure development has not kept pace with the development in other areas. Besides, according to me, the biggest hurdle to development is corruption. Unless corruption is rooted out from public life, if we make strides with one step ahead, we will be pulled back by two steps.

Of course, India is progressing but it is indeed not comprehensive and tangible at grassroot level! The rich is progressing to become richer; and the poor is regressing to be poorer! The corrupt becomes more corrupt; the politicians remain unresponsive and irresponsible; the list can go on but India still survives, and will continue to survive!

Our leaders and the bureaucrats are responsible for the fault. Our mentality also is required to be changed.
