India has achieved 9.2 percent GDP growth rate which is commendable. But the areas of concern are agriculture and infrastructure development. Agriculture production has stopped its growth for the past 6 years or so. Infrastructure development has not kept pace with the development in other areas. Besides, according to me, the biggest hurdle to development is corruption. Unless corruption is rooted out from public life, if we make strides with one step ahead, we will be pulled back by two steps.

Of course, India is progressing but it is indeed not comprehensive and tangible at grassroot level! The rich is progressing to become richer; and the poor is regressing to be poorer! The corrupt becomes more corrupt; the politicians remain unresponsive and irresponsible; the list can go on but India still survives, and will continue to survive!

Yes. India is progressing all around, but due to want of equal distribution, Full benefit is not reaching to the needy persons. Corruption is one of the root cause of loss of national and public property.
Our leaders and the bureaucrats are responsible for the fault. Our mentality also is required to be changed.

I know of some Indians who returned to their country to create american style gated communities where they have adopted some american customs that their children got used to here in the states but the parents didn't like so many of our immoral entertainments.
