Some of it is rather scary don't you think? When God's judgments come upon the Earth.
I personally don't think its coming soon as the gospel hasn't been made available everywhere yet. I may be completely wrong of course. The antichrist may be even now, in some corner of the world, biding his time, waiting for the moment.
I just haven't studied Revelation because I find it very hard to understand. Some of the popular interpretations going around may be suspect; we'll all be very ashamed of believing them in 20 years perhaps. There was a book like that some time ago, "The late great planet Earth". Embarassing.

The book of revelations was written by an ancient version of George W Bush, all the trash that is written in the bible is written by religious lunatics to frighten morons who would believe such rubbish. Non of the garbage printed in the bible is of any use except as waste paper.

Every single book in the Bible tells of God's love for us.. including the book of Revelation
He knows the beginning from the end, and because He knows exactly what’s going to happen right before He comes back to take us home.. He has graciously given us the warning signs.
It’s so awesome to see the things foretold in God’s word, written 1000s of years ago, are now being fulfilled right before our eyes.. God loves us so much that’s why He gave us the Bible, that’s why He inspired John to write the book of Revelations, to warn us and instruct us on what we must do to prepare for His second coming.
We should be thrilled and looking forward for that glorious day when Christ comes to take us to our heavenly home.

Get right or get left....rapture. because of Christan LOYALTY to God...there will be a RAPTURE and YES you should be
afraid...be VERY afraid..IF U R not right with God...today....you still have time...I am not sure about the rest of the day though...
It's all about surrender.

If u read revelation with an open heart you can actually read that, yes it is scary, as Christians we will see the day our Lord and Saviour returns and we will join Him in the 'New Jerusalem' (or Heaven).
It is an awespiring book, but Paul didn't write it from the visions from God to scare, but to warn and to reinstate the promise that one day Jesus will return to earth.

our creator gave us the book of Revelation not only to prepare us for the coming of the Lord but also that all who study it is blessed,im not really sure that it was a warning because we that have accepted Christ have no fear it is a spirit of the devil i think maybe more of a preparation for the end times

The apocalypse of John... aka Johns drug trip.
the big question is whether it was caused by bad grain (ergot - produces LSD) or if he picked a wrong type of mushroom (psylocybin). Or, maybe, he just had a mental outage.

I think it is to warn us, I believe God is simply telling us what will happen and helping us to be prepared for this.
If that frightens people then thats because whats going to happen is awful, but it will happen!
I love God and I love Jesus but I am still scared but we have to trust in our father and have faith that he will always be with us.
My favourite Poem is Footprints
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
This keeps me going that even when revelations begins to happen, god will be by my side! (If im still here)

For believers it's nothing to be frightened about. For those of us living through the end times it will be an encouragement and will comfort them by letting them know that God is in control.
look up this site leftbehind.com it will give you lots of info on this subject
