I got a Sony AM/FM Receiver STR-K7400 5.1 Surround Sound System hooked up in my room and I was wodering what was the best amplifire to hook up to it? I want a lot of wattage output on the amplifire. I plan on hookin' 4 big speakers to it. I don't need to hook a subwoofer to the amplifire. The subwoofer I got for it now works fine, it has a built in amp already. I just need one that can hook up 4 speaker other big. Any help would be great.

If you are not using the amp in the receiver, best bang-for-the-buck is Adcom. Search eBay for Adcom and you'll get a bunch of results. Their good two channel amps are the 555-II (200 wattsX2) , the 5500 (200 wattsX2), the 5800 (250 wattsX2), and the 5802 (300 wattsX2.) You would have to run two speakers per channel while paying close attention to the impedence ratings of your speakers. The other option is to run a multi-channel amp with a channel for each speaker.
